Go ahead already, legalize recreational marijuana.

What is the hold up legalizing marijuana for recreational usage.
I was perusing the NY Times and saw that a lot of State governors think that if they legalize marijuana then this would say they are soft on crime.

HOLD IT!!  Marijuana should have never been criminalized in the first place.
This was a Richard M. Nixon's hard line stance for voter popularity.   To keep classifying marijuana possession and use as criminal is silly.

As a candidate for the US Presidency of 2016 and 2020, I fully realize that their will be prople who, are responsible with their usage of marijuana.  As well as persons who will want to see what they can get away with.  I started encouraging responsible use of marijuana a month ago on my facebook page,  Steven Childs.777.
I am sticking with my stance.  As far as mood altering substances comparing marijuana to heroin or meth is like comparing fruit flavored water (Marijuana) to whiskey(heroin, meth, crack, etc.)  These are not the same substances.  According to material I read from UT in Dallas, unlike alcohol abuse, marijuana use does not cause organ damage.  Don't get me wrong marijuana does effect your mental faculties and reflexes this is why responsible usage of marijuana means do not drive, do not go to work under the influence of THC. Rather get high when your at home not going to work and call Dominoe's or anyone else that delivers.
After a couple of years I believe that responsible usage of marijuana will be the norm in the USA, without government oversight.  In the mean time all of you governors hem hawwing or sitting on the fence and just looking, ferget about it.  Legalize the recreational usage of marijuana in your states, regulate marijuana like alcohol, charge high prices and high taxes for a little while. Just because recreational usage of marijuana is legal, let everyone know that if you are caught driving under the influence of 'MJ' you will get arrested and you will go to jail.  Much like the person driving drunk.
